 Mrs. McCarthy is originally from Dallas, PA. She graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1989 with a
degree in Elementary Education. Mary and her husband, Joe, are the parents of four children: Patrick,
Connor, Katy and Cameron. All of their children are students at St. Columba School.
Mrs. McCarthy is excited to be part of the dedicated staff at St. Columba School. She feels blessed
to be an integral part of the Pre-school students ' early education experience. |
 Mrs. Mertz graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education. Her teaching experience has included sixth grade, first grade, pre-school, and kindergarten. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Teaching and Learning through Lock Haven University. Mrs. Mertz and her husband live in Bloomsburg with their two children. |

 A recipient of a Catholic school education, Mrs. Phillips graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She has lived in Virginia, Iowa, and Pennsylvania and has taught kindergarten, first grade, and special education. She is an avid gardener and lives with her husband, Tim, on their farm near Danville. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. Mrs. Phillips is a member of St. Columba Church where she sings in the choir. |
 Sister M. Lydia is a Sister of Saints Cyril and Methodius whose Motherhouse is in Danville, PA. Sister teaches Second Grade at St. Columba School and is in charge of the Sacramental Programs for both St. Columba School and the Second Grade CYE.

 A Bloomsburg resident since she was three, Mrs. Coombe has been involved with Saint Columba School since the early 1990's. She is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Coombe is a former preschool aide, computer teacher, first grade aide, and After School Care Director. Mrs. Coombe currently teaches third grade teacher. She and her husband, Dale, have five children. |
 Sister Jean Gallagher, IHM is a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a religious order of Sisters whose Motherhouse is in Scranton, PA. Sister teaches fourth grade. She also coordinates the annual Spelling Bee and is the Holy Childhood Mission Moderator.
